We first contacted Margo Studio when we saw an unusual vacant block and were curious about what might be possible on a small site. From the point of initial advice, we engaged them to work through the concept phase to a clear single plan and design, taking it to council for approval. In design they listened carefully to understand our needs, channelling our style notes and wish lists into a practical design that cleverly considered the constraints of the site and our family requirements into the future. They were patient, collaborative and purposeful through the application for planning permission, advocating strongly on our behalf, problem solving tirelessly, guiding us along the occasionally daunting process. They were instrumental in helping us to engage our builder and again steered us through the contract phase, fine tuning the design in consideration of budgetary and building constraints, facilitating a constructive three-way dialogue between architect, builder and client. We didn’t hesitate to take advantage of their experience and engage them to project-manage our build, and their firm and fair approach to negotiating with the builder has been invaluable. In this sense we have worked with Margo Studio from concept toward completion, and we would strongly recommend them to design, project-manage, and advocate in whatever way necessary, to help you realise your dream project. I worked with Margo Studio on the renovation of an old Hills home from concept, design all the way through to build completion.   They redesigned the layout into a more functional  home that  suited our family lifestyle and maximised space.
